Mr. Rothwell
A little bit about myself....
I grew up in Oregon, mainly in the Portland area and attended my freshman year of high school at Oregon City High School. That summer my Dad married and I moved to Lake Oswego, OR to finish my high school career. From there, I earned a full athletic scholarship to Oregon State University to play football. While at OSU I earned two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Education and the other in Liberal Studies.
I have a beautiful wife, Carolyn and a daughter named Everly. Everly was born June 29 of 2012 and keeps us very busy. As a hobby, I try to take fun pictures of my daughter to use later in life to embarrass and harass her. I am sure she will appreciate it...someday.
In my spare time, I like to get outdoors. Most often as a family we hike the trails surrounding our home in Corvallis. There are quite a few family friendly hiking options and plenty of water holes for our two yellow labs.
As a family we go white water rafting every summer. It is our goal to take at least one trip down the wild and scenic portion of the Rogue River annually. We do not always meet this goal, but last year Carolyn and Everly hiked the 44 mile trail in the blazing 105 degree heat.

Below are two widgets for weather and a summer countdown timer, just in case you were wondering. Every school year, students start asking how many days of school are left. Well kids, here is your answer!
TED Talks
If you have never watched TED talks, prepare to be amazed. I love these short-ish talks about all sorts of things. There is something for everyone and I always learn something new. Below are three of my favorites.
